week 5

Picture no 1
Me and my boyfriend were at the cat's meow (restaurant) on granville this weekend.
The restaurant itself did not only have a nice experience in food, but also enviromental colors.
I forgot my camera, but their homepage represent a bit of how it looks inside.
If you're ever going there, check out the upstairs floor. They have a HUGE painting with the complementary colours orange and blue on one wall!

week 4

Picture no2
I know that we're not supposed to do our 'colours of vancouver'-project yet,
but I've been thinking about it, and I managed to catch the morning light
from cambie-street when the sun whent up and bleeded that
orange light on the sky-scrapes, while everything else remained dark and depressing.
I think I'm starting to realize what my colours will be.
week 4

Picture no 1:
Stina Persson have an impressing CV behind her.
She has worked for brands such Absolut Vodka, Nike and DKNY
and have recently worked with Fornarina for designing their
champagne-labels.
She paints in aquarelle and I think the colours she comes up with are amazing.

week 3

Picture no 2: the psychology behind colours
I've had this picture in a forgotten folder on a portable hard-drive for a long
time. I don't know why I liked it so much, until recently when I tried to take out some of the colours from it..
Look at this beautiful combination!
The message of the picture goes well with the different colour tones. Calm, silent, and minimalistic.

week 3

picture no 1: the ice-cream fella' and the conspiration.
Do you see the weird-looking guy holding the puppy in this ad? This is an old Swedish flyer from
a very popular swedish ice-cream company named GB-Glace, and the guy is their company brand,
and you can se him pop up as a plastic figure by every store that sells ice-cream in Sweden.
I sat by my desk, drawing a picture of some cmyk-cats (see the picture below) when the colours reminded me of something.
The LOGO OF THE GB-GLACE COMPANY!
Somehow it struck me that the ice-cream fellow is made of the CMYK-colours. I don't know why,
but it feels like some sort of evil conspiration. All this time, and I didn't know about this!
